I’ve always loved the owl’s fierce and penetrating gaze, the beautiful colors and that feeling of charm but at the same time fear it conveys. As a child I lived in the countryside, and especially in the summer, I often heard the cry of the owl went hunting in the night. It was a strange feeling because it scared me, but at the same time I wanted to see that creature hiding in the darkness.
This project is part of an evolution and a search for a personal style, in which to combine the two materials I love the most. That is, the pen (or fine liner) and colored pencils. Unfortunately they don’t get along very well because colored pencil tends to leave a waxy layer on which it is impossible to write with the pen. At the same time, the pen tends to be hidden by the color if not left very light.
